Inspect existing hardware before installation and replace any worn or damaged parts according to the applicable service manual. SAFE INSTALLATION: Let the engine cool, close the fuel valve if equipped, disconnect the spark plug cap, and position the mower with the air-cleaner side up. Follow the applicable Honda service manual. Inspect the woodruff key and replace it if worn or damaged. Never force, grind, drill, or enlarge the center bore. If the holder does not slide onto a clean, undamaged crankshaft, stop installation. Tighten all fasteners to the specified torque using a torque wrench.
