This Range Bake Element ensures proper oven heating. The element is fastened to the back of the oven with two Phillips screws. The main reason for replacing the heating element is if it has shorted out and is no longer heating the oven effectively. When removing the old element and disconnecting the wires, make sure you prevent the wires from falling back into the oven wall. This high-quality bake element measures 16-5/8" in width and 15-3/4" in length, with 3" terminals connected to the mounting bracket and 1-3/4" between terminals. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools such as a multi- screwdriver, some disassembly of the range, and novice repair experience.
